    First you get your x's on the same side so add 1/2 to 1/5 that equals 7/10x + 5=19 next you - 5 from 5 and - 5 from 19. So then you have 7/10x=14 then you multiply 7/10 by 7/10 so it cancels out. And you multiply 7/10 to 14. That equals 9.8 as a decimal and as a fraction it reduces down to 9 and 4/5. So x = 9.8 or x = 9 4/5

    Multiply by 10

    2x+50=190-5x

    190=2x+50+5x

    140=7x

    x=20
