The club received good prices for the ingredients from the local stores, so each serving of nachos costs them only $0.50. The members plan to sell each serving of nachos for $1.25. What percent markup is in this price?

    150% is the percent markup of the price based on the cost.

    Price : 1.25

    Cost : 0.50

    Mark up: Price - Cost = 1.25 - 0.50 = 0.75

    0.75 / 0.50 = 1.50 * 100% = 150%
