The coordinates for the vertices of a right triangle are (1, 4), (6, 4), and (6,1). What is the length of the longer leg?

    Use distance formula, sqrt[ (y2-y1) ^2 + (x2-x1) ^2].

    sqrt[ (1-4) ^2 + (6-1) ^2]

    = sqrt (34)
