Fourteen minivans, each holding the same number of students and one driver, set out for the spring track competition. On the way, 2 minivans broke down and were towed away for repair. Each of the remaining minivans took on one additional person, and they continued on to the competition. How many people in all went to the competition?

    So 12 vans each have 2 more student and driver.

    so 14*14=196 people
