Two more than the product of a number and 8 is 5

    When ever the problem says is, the next number after that is going to be the answer to the equation. So now you have = 5.

    Next it say two more which means adding so now we have, + 2=5

    Now we have the product of a number and 8. This means that the number and 8 equal the product. Now we know that an answer that is a product is a multiplication problem. That means that you have to multiply 8 and the number.

    That leaves us with the answer, n•8+2=5
