    So find factors of 5

    1 and 5

both factors must be both negative or both positive to be positive 5

    adds to negative 4

to do that, they both must be negative

    -5 times - 1=5

    -5+-1=-6

    doesn't work

the only way it would work is if it is what multipies to - 5 and adds to - 4 which then the numbers would be - 5 and 1
