Do what's in the parenthesis first. 5cubed + 2. Now you do the exponent, add and get 127

Well you are raising everything in the () so therefor it would be (10^3-5^3) + (10:5)

    10 to the 3rd is 1000

    5 to the 3rd is 125

    So 1000+125=1125

    Then you have (1125) + (10:5)

    You then have 1125+2

    1125+2=1127
