    Since 1 liter is = 1000 milliliters (remember: milli = 1000, centi = 100, etc), 1.2 liters would be equal to 1200 milliliters. Therefore, the equation 1200-200 would be used, and you would be left with 1000 milliliters, or 1 liter.
