    3x-2=7

    You first subtract 2 from both sides, so 2-2=0 & 7-2=5

    3x=5

    Then you divide 3 from both sides to get "X" alone, 3x/3 = 1x (but the the one is invisible so it equal "X") and then 5/3 = 1.66666 ...

    So the answer to this problem is

    X=1.6

    Here’s how to solve it:

    3x = 7 + 2

    3x = 9

    x = 9/3

    x = 3
