The slope of a ramp from the sidewalk to the street has to be 1/20. The height of a ramp is 2.5 inches. What is the horizontal length (in inches) of the ramp?

    The ratio is 1:20 so if you need to go up 2.5 inches you need to travel 2.5x20 inches horizontally.

    2.5x20=50 inches.
