6x - (-6) x is 2, so when a variable is close like that it means multiplication, so 6 times 2 that is 12, so 12 minus - 6 so positive and negative you subtracts so 12-6 is 6

18, because when you plug in the 2 for x, it gives you 12. then it becomes 12 - (-6). That equation would then give you the answer of 18 because a minus sign and a negative sign make a positive number. (You would add the two numbers together)
