Let a and b be events with p (a) = 0.51 and p (a ∩ bc) = 0.4. for what value of p (b) will a and b be independent?

    When A and B independent, P (A) * P (B) = P (A∩B)

    We have

    P (A) = 0.51

    P (A∩B) = 0.4

    P (B) = 0.4 : 0.51

    P (B) = 0.78
