Jayson baked a pan of cornbread for a family dinner. He cut the cornbread into equal size pieces. At the end of the dinner there were 2 pieces left. Explain how you find the number of pieces in the whole pan of the cornbread if jayson told you that 1/6 of the pan was left. Use a drawing to show your work

    1/6 of the pan was left, and we know that 2 pieces were left. So, 2 pieces equals 1/6. To get your answer, multiply 2 by 6. (12x6) This means the cornbread was cut into 12 pieces.
