5 3/7 is the simplest form. First you change 38/7 into a mixed number. 7 can go into 38 five times. 5 times 7 equals 35. 38 minus 35 equals 3. Since the denominator is 7, the answer is 5 3/7. Hope this contribute to your understanding.
