The length of a rectangle is 6 inches more than the width. if the perimeter is 64 inches, what are the length and the width

    W = width

    w + 6 = length

    2w + 2 (w + 6) = 64

    2w + 2w + 12 = 64

    4w = 64 - 12 = 52

    w = 52 : 4 so see what that is and plug it in to answer the question.
