A recipe calls for cake needs 3/4 of a cup of milk. You are making 1/2 of the recipe. How much milk do you need?

    3/8 of a cup. 3/4 is equivalent to 6/8 and half of 6/8 is 3/8 (I think this is right not 100% sure)
