Hi there! Partial products is multiplying each bottom number by the top number. So what did was 9 * 5 = 45. Dropped the five, and carried the 4 to the next number. 5 * 4 + 4 is 24. Drop the 4, and carried the two to the next number. Then I did 5 * 1 + 2 and I got 7. The product of 149 * 5 is 745.
