Two-fifths of the 65 pies at the bakery are apple pies. How many apple pies does the bakery have?

    2/5 of 65 = 2/5 x 65 = 26 apple pies

    If you're not allowed a calculator, divide the number by the denominator (bottom number) and then multiply by the numerator (top number)

    65/5 = 13

    13 x 2 = 26 apple pies
