A different camera is selling for $7.50 off the regular price. It was marked down 15%. A student used the equation:

15 (7.5) = Original price

and found the regular price of the camera to be $112.50.

Explain the error (s) in the student's work.

    Well he distributed the numbers which is not what you're suppose to do

    Set up a proportion instead of multiplying.
