    Total number of puppies = 12

    Where;

    Poodles = 3

    Terriers = 5

    Retrievers = 4

    After Rebecca selects a poodle, total number of puppies remaining = 12 - 1 = 11

    Then,

    Probability of Aaron selecting a retriever:

    P (R) = Number of retrievers/New total = 4/11
