We are given the expression
1/2 h + 1/3 (h - 6) = 5/6 h + 12
First, we distribute 1/3
1/2 h + 1/3 h - 2 = 5/6 h + 12
Next, we move all terms having the coefficient h to the left side and the constants to the right side
1/2 h + 1/3 h - 5/6 h = 12 + 2
Then, perform the operations of the equation
0 = 14 (this is impossible and not true)
Since we have an equation equating zero to a constant, the variable h belongs to the empty set or there are no values of h that can prove that the equation holds true.
