    F (x) = x/2-x and g (x) = 2x^3-x/2-x so

    f (x) - g (x) = x/2-x-2x^3+x/2+x

    f (x) - g (x) = - 2x^3+2x/2

    f (x) - g (x) = - 2x^3+x or if you prefer:

    f (x) - g (x) = x (-2x^2+1)
