    A histogram shows the frequency of data within different ranges

    A dot plot is generally used with the exact data values listed along an axis and a dot for each data value above the axis. Then the exact data values can be read from the dot plot.

    A Dot Plot is a graph where you plot information using dots basically, and a Histogram is a diagram consisting of rectangles whose area is proportional to the frequency of a variable and whose width is equal to the class interval.
