A bakery supplier receives an order for 2 tons of sugar from a bakery chain. The sugar is shipped in crates. Each crate holds eight 10-pound bags of sugar. How many crates does the supplier need to ship to fulfill the order?

    There are 2000 pounds in a ton. You have 2 tons that makes it 4000 pounds. Because 2000 times 2 is 4000. Now you divide 4000 by 80 because a crate holds 8 ten pound bags of sugar and that gives you 50. The answer is 50.
