Chris has $21.50. He wants a book for $5.85 and a cd for $14.99. The sales tax is 6.25%. How could Chris estimate whether he has enough to buy the book and the cd?

    No he does. Together he had to pay $20.81 for the book and cd. With tax of 6.25% multipled to the $20.81 the tax return will be $1.30 that will be added to the $20.81 for a total of $22.11
