Since it is less then 1, we will be using a negative exponent.
0.058 ... we want that decimal right before the last number (8) ... so how many spaces do we have to move the decimal? We have to move it 2 spaces.
so ur answer is : 5.8 x 10^-2

0.58*10^-2 is how you write it out in scientific notation.
