What is the simplest form of the expression (-12.7y - 3.1x) + 5.9y - (4.2y + x) ?

    -11y-2.1x because you add like terms so - 12.7y+5.9y-4.2y is - 11y and - 3.1x+x is - 2.1x so your answer is - 11y+-2.1x.
