This is a function composition with g (x) composed with g (x), then evaluated at 7.

    g (g (x)) =

    g (x - 3) =

    x - 3 - 3 =

    x - 6 =

    7 - 6 = 1

    OR

You could but 7 in the g (x) function. Get that result, and put it in g (x) again.

    g (7) = 7 - 3 = 4

    g (4) = 4 - 3 = 1

Either way, the answer is 1
