If x, y, and z are positive and x/y=y/z, what is the geometric mean?

    The geometric mean for three terms is (xyz) ^ (1/3)

    x=y^2/z so now the equation becomes ...

    [ (y^2/z) * y*z) ]^ (1/3)

    (y^3) ^ (1/3)

    y

    So the geometric mean is y.
