Cars leave town driving in opposite directions. jose 5 mph faster. in four hours they are 476 miles apart. how fast are each of them driving

    Jose speed (miles per hour) = x + 5

    other guy (mph) = x

    4 (x+5+x) = 476

    2x+5 = 119

    2x = 114

    x = 67 miles per hour (guy)

    x + 5 = 72 miles per hour (jose)
