First, you have to find a common denominator. 4 times 2 equals 8. So, multiply 3 by 2 and you get 6. 3/4 is smaller than 7/8, not bigger.

If you make the denominators similar, you get
6/8 and 7/8
6/8 is smaller, so no, 3/4 isn't bigger than 7/8
