Hmm, ok so we have 28 squirrels, for every 8, we have 6 eating bird seed, well lets start with the first 8, we now have 6 eating bird seed out of the 8, another 8 jumps up our number to 16 squirrels with 12 eating seed, add another 8 and now we have 24 with 18 eating seed, now we have 4 left over, now we have a ratio of 8-6 we can simplify to 4-3, meaning for every 4, 3 are eating seed, add 3 to 18 and you get 21 out of the 28 are presumably eating bird seed
