At the Pleasant Valley Golf Course, the average player finishes 18 holes in 85 shots. Landon can complete the course in 77 shots. How many complete rounds does Landon need to play to have taken at least 100 fewer shots than the average player would?

    He would have played 36 matches and gotten a grand total of 254 shots. If he was average then he would’ve gotten 255 shots in 36 games.

    2 * 77 = 254

    3 * 85 = 255

    So you find the difference in how many shots he takes per 18 holes vs how many shots it takes the average person. It takes him 8 less (85-77). now find the approximate number of rounds it would take landon to get to 100 shots difference 13x8=104. So it looks like it will be 13 rounds, lets check. 77x13=1001 and 85x13=1105. There is 104 difference in between. So you answer will be 13 full rounds or 12 rounds and one half round.
