    Distribute

    4x+4 (less than) - 6

    Subtract 4 on both side

    4x (less than) - 10

    divide 4 both sides

    x (less than) - 2.5

(Final answer is bold) Good luck

First you multiply 4 by x and 4 by 1

    You now have 4x+4<-6

Now subtract 4 from both sides,

    giving you 4x<-10

    divide 4

    and the answer is x<-2.5
