    x + y = 4 so y = 4 - x

    2x + 3y = 0

    substitute y = 4 - x into 2x + 3y = 0

    2x + 3y = 0

    2x + 3 (4 - x) = 0

    2x + 12 - 3x = 0

    -x = - 12

    x = 12

    y = 4 - x = 4 - 12 = - 8

    answer

    (12, - 8) is the solution
