1) Distribute : 3x + 15 = x + 19
2) Subtract x from both sides of equation : 2x + 15 = 19
3) Subtract 15 from both sides of equation : 2x = 4
4) Divide 2 from both sides of the equation : x = 2
Therefore, x = 2
