To find the sum of 174 + 328, do you need to regroup once or twice? explain.

Twice because you will have to regroup with the 8+4 and when you carry to the tens place with the 7+2 which equals 9 but once you add the carrier it equals 10 so you have to carry to the hundreds place. Which then the 1+3=4 then add the carrier 4+1=5 and no more regrouping.
