5x² + 30x + 40 = 0
To find the zeros, let's factor the trinomial:
First factor out the GCF: 5 (x²+6x+8) = 0
Next: 5 (x+2) (x+4) = 0
Now for this to be a true statement. 'x' would have to either be equal to - 2 or - 4.
So the zeros of the equation are x = - 2 and x = - 4
