    The state of New Hampshire's ratification guaranteed the Constitution's approval, in what is now the United States. Under The Articles of the Confederation, article VII stated that nine states were needed to ratify the Constitution before it could be approved. New Hampshire was the ninth state to ratify the Constitution of the United States, in June of 1788.
