Jake worked 40 hours a week for 3 straight weeks, 46 houses a week for the next two weeks, and 51 hours for the next 3 weeks. What was the average number of hours worked over the 8-weeks span?

    To find averages you must add up everything and then divide it by the total amount.

    40H x 3W + 46H x 2W + 51H x 3 = 8W

    120HW + 92HW + 153HW = 8W

    365HW = 8W

    365/8 = 8W/8
