Your poor health causes you to miss one work day every two weeks. You do not get paid when you are out sick. You normally work 8 hours a day and get paid $9.20 per hour. How much pay are you losing each year?

    1 day every 2 weeks missed = 52 weeks/2 = 26 days per year you don't work

    You make $9.20 x 8 or $73.60 per day

    $73.60 x 26 absent days = $1,913.60 of lost wages per year
