    X²-x-2=y

    When the line crosses the x-axis, y==0:

    x²-x-2=0

    (x-2) (x+1) = 0 Factored

    x-2=0 Find x

    x+1=0

    x=2,-1

    Plug x value (s) into the original equation

    x²-x-2=y

    (2) ²-2-2=y

    y=0 (2,0)

    (-1) ² - (-1) - 2=y

    y = 0 (-1,0)

    Thus the solutions is A
