A country's population in 1995 was 32 million. In 1997 it was 34 million. Estimate the population in 2003 using the exponential growth formula. Round your answer to the nearest million.

    Hello! Looking at the numbers, you can see that the population of a country goes up by 1 million people each year. You could also say that it goes up by 2 million every 2 years. At this rate, the population in 2003 was 40 million. This is because 1997-2003 are 6 years apart. Do 1 million * 6 to get 6 million and add that to 34 million from 1997 to get 40 million in 2003.
