A regular box of Lucky charms contains 14 oz. of cereal and the family size contains 15% more. Jamie buys three family size boxes and estimates this will be more than 50 oz. of cereal is Jamie's estimate correct? explain.

    So we do 15 percent of 14 = 2.1

    We add 2.1 + 14 = 16.1

    Do 16.1 times 3

    The answer you will get is 48.3

    48.3 is close to 50

    Jamie's estimate is correct.
