Part a.$10 x 40 hours = $400 ($10x=W) X = 40 hours a week

Part b. $10 x 40 hours = $400 + $15 x Y=S ($10x=$400 + $15y=S) Y = number of hours overtime. Since he gets $15 for working more then 40 hours you take the number of hours over time and multiply it by 15.

Part c. Okay so knowing that he made $490 in 1 week you know that he worked for 40 hours at a rate of $10 an hour. But that's only $400 so we need to figure out 15 times what is equal to 90. 15 times 6 is equal to 90 which means that Drey worked for 46 hours
