    So "foil" the first two to get x^2 - 3x + 1x - 3 or (x^2 - 2x - 3) then do the same with that new equation and the last one to get x^3 - 2x^2 - 3x - 4x^2 + 8x + 12

    simplified into (x^3) - (6x^2) + (5x) + (12)
