The probability of a particular event is 3/8. What is the probability that the event will not happen? Explain

    (Probability of it Happening) + (Probability of it not Happening) = 1 (or 100%)

    this makes since because it is for sure either going to happen or not happen.

    x = probability not happening

    3/8 + x = 1

    x = 1 - 3/8

    x = 5/8 (or 62.5%)
