Complete the equation so that it has solutions of - 5 and 7

    It the solutions are r1 and r2, then it factors to

    (x-r1) (x-r2)

    so solutions are - 5 and 7

    r1=-5

    r2=7

    (x - (-5)) (x-7) = 0

    (x+5) (x-7) = 0

    x²+5x-7x-35=0

    x²-2x-35=0

    first blank is - 2, 2nd is - 35
