To work out 8% of 150, you have to do 150 multiplied by 8, divided by 100.
So it should look like this: (150 * 8) : 100. (Which is 12%)
You have to remember to divide by 100 at the end, because a percentage (%) is out of 100, so you have to make the number out of 100, and the only way to do that is to divide by 100.
