The marching band raised $2,499 from a raffle and cookie sale. Each of the 48 band members will get an equal share of the money to put toward a new uniform. How much money will each band member get? How many cents will be left over?

    Divide the 2 number and the decimal will be the cents

    $2499 / 48 people = $52.0625

    Each band member will get $52 with 6.25 cents left over
